Geotechnical Engineer/Area Manager

are looking for an experienced geotechnical engineer to run one of our emerging offices
in the historic gold country.
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing an existing
office and executing geotechnical and environmental projects of
varying scope and complexity. Primary tasks include developing
and maintaining client relations, conducting and supervising geotechnical
engineering investigation, analysis, and design, and driving business
development. As the office manager, you will be responsible
for project management, technical review, and supervision of professional
and technical personnel.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate client relationships and bring in new projects .
- Perform and/or supervise field investigation, engineering analysis , and report preparation.
- Review engineering reports, field technician reports and design documents.
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
Minimum Requirements
- Current registration as Professional Engineer. If not currently
registered in California, must be able to obtain registration in
California within 6 months.
- Five or more years experience in geotechnical engineering and/or environmental
engineering.
- Effective interpersonal management skills and communication skills.
- Strong technical background and technical writing skills.
- Driven to expand a successful branch office.
- ICC Certifications a plus.
